Make sure "#ibg.#kbg.resources" was correctly embedded or linked into assembly "RedGate.SQLCompare.UI" at compile time, or that all the satellite assemblies required are loadable and fully signed."

Yes, check for updates does appear to be broken in 10.2.0.916. We have the bug logged under the code SC-5825.

You'll probably never know when we release the fix because you can't check for updates, so I'll try to keep this case open so I can send you a link manually.

Can you uninstall 10.2.0.916 and install the following version instead?
ftp://support.red-gate.com/patches/SQL_Compare/SQL_Compare_10.2.0.777.zip

It's basically the same, just CFU works.
