When right clicking on a database on SSMS, selecting Schema Compare/Deploy, then Select as Source, in the window that opens up, I would like the ability to populate the Server/Database target manually. Currently, the options are Drag from Object Explorer, Source Control, or New Database. Drag from explorer seems like the easiest way, but I dont always have that server open in Object Explorer. _________________ Kevin Eckart

Thanks for your suggestion and apologies for the delay in our reply. I've logged this as a feature now for you under an internal reference of RGE-206 and I suspect we'll look into it as part of a our bigger "Migrations" project we're currently working on, involving improvements to features and usability of SQL Compare and SQL Source Control, and how they both work with SSMS.

A lot of the functionality on that screen is replicated in SQL Compare itself, so we're probably going to remove it and put in a simpler way of firing off the comparison.
The next release of SQL Compare has a Recently Used server list which will make it easier for you to specify your data sources.
