Does anyone know if the Windows service startup time is configurable? If I try to profile a service and the service takes more than 30 seconds to start up, then the profiler times out and I can't monitor the service. Thanks for any info,

Hi Vince,
Windows allows you to set the startup timeout via the registry:

However it may be that the service is crashing. Check the application event log to make sure it isn't first. _________________ Brian Donahue

| Thanks for the reply, Brian. I didn't know the windows service itself was timing out because of the overhead introduced by the profiler. That's a big help. |
