|
|
Redgate Backup takes long time to restore as compare to native SQl 2008 compressed backup. For 800 GB of database SQL 2008 takes around 2.5 hours to restore while redgate took 7.3 hours.
Anyone has idea why is this so. We are using redagate SQL Backup 5.0
Thanks

What was the compressed sizes of both backup sets?
What compression level was used for SQL Backup?
Were both backup sets restored on the same server, under the same load?
Were both backup sets restored to a new database, or to an existing database?
Thanks. _________________ Peter Yeoh
