Guys
I am trying to script some data and either open in it in management studio or save it to a file and neither works, if the script is reasonably large it hangs and then says it cannot open management studio, I just want to get sone data from some tables and email it to myself or save it as a file but it just will not work. You cant go into the data script tab and copy - it just wont work for me (=

If you've generated a script and it's pretty large, SQL Management Studio may well time-out trying to open it.
You should be able to run it from the commandline using SQLCMD though? http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms162773.aspx |
