I would like to permanently delete all alerts in a given category, how should I go about this?

TIA,
Martin.

Thanks for your post.

If you edit the Alert Template under 'configuration' in the UI, then you can disable the alerts you don't want to recieve.

Any alerts that are already showing in the UI will need to be cleared.

I hope this helps.

Chris:

Hmm, I'm not sure I have explained myself very well.

I have an alert about a long running query (> 1400 alerts). I have changed the program to resolve this issue, but I still wish to continue to monitor this alert, I just want to eliminate the 1400 previous alerts.

Thanks,
Martin.

You can multiselect all the alerts you want to clear in the UI, then right-click -> Clear Alert.

Thanks Chris, that solved my problem. I didn't know the multiselect was available.

Regards,
Martin.
