Can I set the html generation to NOT inject the folder with generation date and time?
I want to continually update a site that our developers have bookmarked. I do not want a new site sub-folder added every time I generate a new version (because then the bookmarks are useless, if you get my drift).
Can this be done now? If not, let's make it an urgent (and simple enough) enhancement request.

There is a patch referenced here:

which may have the option you're looking for. Please give this a go and let us know if it meets your expectations.
