| Why is a database backup required for log rescue to work? I need to be able to read the log file and make a fix without having a backup file. Is this possible? |

Hello,
If you want the maximum amount of accuracy, you will need the log file. Log Rescue is designed to get back whatever it can, but without the schema information it gets from the full backup, the undo and redo scripts could possibly retrieve the information incorrectly. _________________ Brian Donahue
