Do you have an example that we can use to reproduce the behaviour? If so, can you send it to support@red-gate.com and quote the support ticket number F0068851 in the subject.
Can you also confirm the full version of SQL Compare that you are using? (The current version is 10 and you have posted in the "SQL Compare Previous Versions" forum.)

table-value function not compiled after synchro

Hi,

it seems that table-value functions are not compiled during synchronization using sql compare.
After the synchronization the table-value function does not work properly and I have to edit it (it's enough to add a space) to make it working.
Someone got this problem?

I don't think there has been any progress with this feature but I'm still waiting for it.

Has there been any progress on this since request id SC-5123 was created? I have a similar need to those mentioned above. I have a database with 30,000 stored procedures (most of which are encrypted), which means registering the database takes at least 15-20 minutes. The ability to filter object before running the compare would be a HUGE benefit to me.

I finally figured this out (using the "try random stuff" method). You have to "quote" the options, once I did that they all worked perfectly.

I'm using SQL Compare 9 to compare databases & the options I've specified seem to be not working. Syntax used is below. The report generates just fine, however, tables with "NOT FOR REPLICATION" on the identity column of tables in the second database are showing up as different. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Syntax:

I thought the 'PowerSum' is not a recognized built-in function name, was fixed in SQL Compare V7.1. can you please confirm the exact version of SQL Compare you are using?

With regards to the error, to my knowledge and experience it has not occurred in SQL Compare V10.2.

The latest version is 10.2.3.1 which can be downloaded using this

We are getting following error when we are running SQL Compare 8 against two Databases in SQL Server 2008 R2. Will upgrading to recent version of SQL Compare resolve this one? Please let us know -

System.Exception: Failed to register databases. ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: 'PowerSum' is not a recognized built-in function name.
C:\Builds\171\XGS-SDI\SCO_Mainline\BuildType\TFSBuild.proj(414,5): error MSB4018: Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'with'. If this statement is a common table expression, an xmlnamespaces clause or a change tracking context clause, the previous statement must be terminated with a semicolon.
