Graduate recruitment at Red Gate
On average we spend 1652 hours at work each year, so it makes sense to pick an employer that can make that time well spent. Red Gate is very proud to be in the Sunday Times 'Best Small Companies to Work For' list for two years in a row. This means that we're officially the best small company to work for in Cambridge. Take a look at our people profiles to see what your future colleagues have to say about working for us.
Red Gate employs brilliant people and provides the resources and working culture to foster that brilliance. You'll be working with inspiring and talented colleagues who'll help you raise your game and enable you to do the best work of your life.
Red Gate has both technical and business graduate positions available across all of our teams, including Development, Test, User Experience, Technical Services, Technical Communication, Sales and Marketing. We know that not everyone is sure which direction to take, and our recruitment process has been designed to accommodate this. If you are unsure as to the role you would like to take you do not have to make an initial decision upon application. We will support you through the recruitment process to help you to find a role that reflects and complements your individual talents.
Our salary and benefits package is one of the most competitive in the industry. In addition to extensive benefits and stock options, you will also receive a signing bonus of £2,000 on joining us.
As we are committed to maintaining high levels of staff retention we have a genuine interest in your development. We do not operate long graduate induction schemes – you will be working on real-world projects from the start. Most of your training will be on the job, with structured support from your manager and peers, but you will also be encouraged to complete relevant training courses. Within your first year, you are likely to have the option to attend an international conference or trade show to meet our customers and help you fully understand our products and their commercial position.
As Red Gate is a dynamic and expanding organisation we can offer you real career prospects and a diverse range of projects, throughout which you will have the opportunity to take on real responsibility. From day one, you will have direct input in the life cycle of outstanding software aimed at SQL Server and .NET professionals. You will work in small teams alongside your colleagues to add your personal elements to the production of commercial software that is used by over 500,000 customers globally.
"I joined Red Gate straight out of University as a Graduate. In the space of two years I've worked on the company's flagship products, learned a huge amount about creating wonderful software, and I've worked with some amazing people. I am now Manager of our .NET division, managing a team of ten people with a budget of millions of dollars. Sometimes I have to pinch myself." James Moore
"The open and supportive atmosphere really appealed to me, alongside the friendliness and down-to-earth outlook of everyone I met at interview."
