Red Gate releases new SQL Bundle

CAMBRIDGE, England, 13 April 2004 – Red Gate Software has released SQL Bundle 3.15, which includes a new version of SQL Compare that fixes problems with dependency information within databases. The bundle also includes selective data migration within SQL Data Compare 3.35.

SQL Compare 3.15 automatically scripts dependencies in the correct order even if SQL metadata in the sysdepends table is broken. Since it does not rely on sysdepends information, SQL Compare enables developers and DBAs to recover from common situations where dependencies are lost or corrupted.

The new capability has proven to be a valuable asset for James Berry, senior developer for Adastra Software, a company that provides software to manage after-hours activity for 25,000 doctors and an estimated 9 million patient episodes each year.

A new version of SQL Data Compare within SQL Bundle 3.15 now includes the ability to select individual records for synchronization when migrating to a new database. Records are selected by simply checking a box next to the listing. SQL Data Compare also includes new options for disabling triggers, keys and indexes while migrating data.

SQL Bundle includes SQL Compare 3.15 for comparing and synchronizing SQL Server database structures, SQL Data Compare 3.35 for comparing content and data, and DTS Compare 1.51 for comparing SQL Servers. It is available on the company's website for a free, 14-day, fully supported trial. The website also includes a video demonstration of the product.

SQL Bundle 3.15 is $350 for single users, or $490 with 12 months of support and upgrades. Discounts of up to 60 percent are available for five, 10 and 20 users or more. All Red Gate products can be purchased on the company's website.
