Red Gate's SQL Bundle wins Best of TechEd from Windows IT Pro and SQL Server Magazine

LOVELAND, Colo., June 20, 2005 – Red Gate Software's SQL Bundle Developer Edition was selected as a Best of TechEd award winner by Penton Media's Windows IT Pro and SQL Server Magazine. SQL Bundle Developer Edition took top honors in Database Development, one of 10 award categories. Products were evaluated based on their strategic importance in the market, competitive advantage, and value to the customer. The award was presented at the 4th annual Best of TechEd ceremony on Wednesday, June 8, 2005, in Orlando. "This product adds several essential features to the tools provided by SQL Server's Enterprise Manager, including the ability to compare and synchronize both database schema as well as data between two different databases," says Mike Otey, senior technical editor for the magazines. "In addition, this product has a SQL Toolkit that enables the DBA or developer to automate data and schema comparisons using command-line APIs."

SQL Bundle Developer Edition comprises five Red Gate packages at a discounted price: SQL Compare for comparing and synchronizing database schema; SQL Data Compare for comparing content and data; DTS Compare for comparing SQL Servers; SQL Packager, a tool for compressing and packaging database schema and contents; and the SQL Toolkit, which automates SQL Compare, SQL Data Compare, and SQL Packager through a command-line interface and access to the APIs.
