Where are the log files for my tools located?
Exchange Server Archiver
The OWA Add-in, Archive, Storage, Storage Filter and UAA Service logs can be located within:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\Red Gate\Logs
The Outlook Add-in and Admin Console logs can be located within:
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Red Gate\Logs
Event Log (Red Gate Software) Serious error, warning and information messages are also logged to the event log.
SQL Backup
The log files are in the directory selected at installation time. You can check the location by running Tools>Server options and checking the location for the SQL Backup log files. The default location is:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Red Gate\SQL Backup\Log\<instance_name>\
Red Gate client tools
All of the red Gate client tools have the option to set verbose logging to produce a log file. To set verbose logging, click on the icon for the tool in question from the top left-hand corner of the dialog, select Minimum Log Levels>Verbose. Then run the project again, select the icon in the top left-hand corner of the dialog, Open Current Log File. If you need to send the logs to Red Gate Technical Support, select File>Save As, save the file and attach it to an email to support@red-gate.com.
