How should I move my Red Gate software to a different computer?
Installing Red Gate tools to a second computer will not work if the number of licenses that you have purchased has been exceeded by the number of computers on which the programs are installed. Before installing your software on a new computer, it is first necessary to "deactivate" the licence on the first computer.
Download the deactivation tool from:
www.red-gate.com/deactivationtool
Run the deactivation tool on the machine to be decommissioned, select the serial number(s) of the software to be moved and click "Deactivate". Uninstall the software. Install the software on the new machine and activate it again, using the original serial numbers.
