Sometimes, old backups are not erased when it appears that they should be.
SQL Backup will not erase certain backups if one or more of the following conditions are true:
· Version 5 files (after upgrading to version 6)
· Encrypted backups (unless the password is the same as the backup being made)
· Backups of other databases
· Backups of differing types than the type of the running backup job (Full, diff, log)
