Is it possible to profile a single dll (application extension) assembly?

It is possible to profile a managed-code dll, add-in, or component that is loaded by a process, even if the process that loads the dll is unmanaged code. To do this, profile the process that will load and execute code in your dll.

To filter the ANTS Profiler results to only show the methods being run in your dll, you may either select the profile only methods with source code option, or if no source code is available for the application that loads your dll also, you may use the custom filter option to only show methods run in the namespace specified in your dll.

Please note that in order to show only that methods that have source code, a debugging symbols (.PDB) file must exist in the same folder where the dll is located.
