After installing the ANTS Profiler software (including the add-in for Visual Studio 2005) on a non-English language computer with a non-English installation of Microsoft Visual Studio, an ANTS menu will appear, but it is disabled. Clicking the menu item has no effect. This happens because the RedGate.Profiler.VSAddin.Resources.dll is specifically localized to the English language.
Localized resources for multiple languages can be downloaded from ftp://support.red-gate.com/patches/ANTS_Profiler/LocalizedProfilerAddIn.zip . To install the update, download and extract the contents of this file, and copy the subfolder corresponding to your version of ANTS Profiler to the installation folder, which by default will be c:\program files\red gate\ants profiler 3.
ANTS Profiler 4 includes the necessary resource files. In either case, the list of supported cultures is de, en-US, es, fr, it, ja, ko, zh-CHS and zh-CHT. If your language is not included, please write to support@red-gate.com for assistance.
