SQL HyperBac - 5.9
Working with local folders - SQL HyperBac
When you install SQL HyperBac, several folders are created beneath the main "HyperBac" folder (located at "C:\Program Files\HyperBac" by default):
Default folder location |
Description |
C:\Program Files\Red Gate\HyperBac\indexes |
(Index path: not used by SQL HyperBac) |
C:\Program Files\Red Gate\HyperBac\keys |
Encryption key path: this folder holds the default key file that SQL HyperBac uses to encrypt and decrypt backup data on this SQL Server. For important information about managing and backing up key files, see Managing key files for encrypted backups. |
C:\Program Files\Red Gate\HyperBac\logs |
Log path: the HyperBac Control Service writes log data to files in this folder. This log data includes information about service startup and shutdown, and operations performed by the service. |
C:\Program Files\Red Gate\HyperBac\license\hyperbac.lic |
License file: the folder and filename for the default SQL HyperBac license file. SQL HyperBac uses the license file at this location unless you use the General tab to apply a different license file. |
You can change the default location for any folder from the Advanced tab of HyperBac Configuration Manager:
