Integrating the command line with applications - SQL Compare
To integrate the SQL Compare command line with applications that you distribute to your customers, you must first purchase either a valid SQL Compare Professional Edition, SQL Developer Bundle, or SQL Toolbelt license. When you have purchased the license, and you execute the tool, the distribution files that you need to distribute the applications are generated. These files are marked with an asterisk (*) below.
The files that you should bundle into your application installer are listed below. The files should be installed in the same folder in which your application is installed.
For all SQL Compare functions:
- SQLCompare.exe
- SQLCompare.exe.config
- RedGate.SQLCompare.Distribution.dll*
- RedGate.SQLCompare.Distribution.mod*
For reading backups only:
- System.Data.SQLite.dll
This file is located in the SQLite subfolder of the SQL Compare installation location.
For reading encrypted backups:
- RedGate.BackupReader.CryptoHelper.dll
For reading compressed backups:
- zlib1.dll
