This message occurs if you have both SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008 installed on the computer you are profiling.
The two versions of SQL Server have incompatible providers, and so ANTS Performance Profiler cannot read the data collected from them simultanously.
This is a warning message, rather than an error: ANTS will still try to collect the data from both providers but some fields may be blank or corrupt. If this occurs, recompile etwcls.mof for the SQL Server instance from which you are trying to collect data.
To do this, at the command prompt, run the following command:
C:\Windows\System32\mofcomp.exe <path to your SQL Server instance>\MSSQL\Binn\etwcls.mof
for example:
C:\Windows\System32\mofcomp.exe C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.2\MSSQL\Binn\etwcls.mof
