It does this by giving you access to the APIs used within our SQL database comparison and synchronization tools. By accessing these, you can completely automate all your SQL comparison, synchronization, packaging and update jobs.
You can, for example, create a program to schedule the comparison and synchronization of your SQL databases; then automate their installation, replication and verification.
The SQL Comparison SDK also gives you programmable access to the advanced functions of both SQL Compare Pro and SQL Data Compare Pro, including:
- Comparing a live database to a folder of SQL scripts
- Simpler source control management with the SQL Changeset add-in
- Installing a new database directly from script files
- Comparing backups as if they are live databases
- Row Level Restore from a backup to a production or test database
By using the SQL Comparison SDK you can incorporate all of the Red Gate SQL database tools' functionality into the applications that you create.
