We have recently removed a drive from our SQL Server, this drive stored our SQL Backup files. When I am doing a restore and need to backup the tail of the log file, I am receiving the following error:

Quote:
The operating system returned the error '3(error not found)' while attempting 'DeleteFile' on 'D:\Backup\test.CKP' at 'storage.cpp'(875)

Is there a way to tell SQL Backup that this file has been deleted, or remove this entry from the history?

This error is being raised by SQL Server, not SQL Backup. Is the issue discussed here similar to your issue?
