Hi,
I'm familiar with the backup throughput improvement using Hyperbac over native backups.
Should restore times also be quicker? I'm experimenting with the BUFFERCOUNT, MAXTRANSFERSIZE options on backup and restores, but was suprised to see that hyperbac restores come out at about the same time as native.
Thanks, Andrew |

Hi,
Restore times are dependent upon several external, environmental factors, including physical constraints (as you are effectively writing the same amount of data out in both cases) and the amount of recovery activity. It is typical to see these times in line with native or a marginal improvement _________________ Jeffrey Aven
