Red Gate is working on a new version of SmartAssembly.
The exciting new feature this release is Feature Usage Reporting, which lets you add the [ReportUsage] attribute to your methods, which asks SmartAssembly to count the invocations of the method. If your user opts-in, you can then see the number of times your users have used each feature.

It'll be a few months yet, because we'd like to fix a lot of bugs that affect a few people before releasing.
Out of interest, what is it about SA 6 that you prefer over 5? Did we fix a bug that was affecting you, or do you like one of the new features?

Hi Alex
I have just buy a license of SA 5, but it does not work with SA6, is there any way to upgrate it?
I prefer to keep using SA6 because the localization issues with SL on SA5..

If you drop an email to dotnetsales@red-gate.com they should be able to advise you about how best to upgrade when we release version 6. For the time being, until we release that, if you want the new features, you'll have to continue using the EAP versions, with the limitations and restrictions that come with them.
