This happens every time I try and profile my application :

there is nothing special we are doing, the 'Elist' class I am using is just a customised class using generics that we use to replace list and sorted lists etc. (available if you can send me private email address)

it is *really* frustrating setting a day aside and then not being able to test anything, so any help would be really appreciated.

thanks

Paul.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Hi,

I'm sorry that you've run into this. We had identified at least one cause for this in ANTS Profiler 3.1 and had a patch for it, so I'd assume it's fixed in version 3.2.

Are you using ANTS Profiler 3.2? If not, can you try using check for updates from the help menu, grab the latest version, and see if it still happens? This should be a free upgrade for you.

Hi Brian,

I am receiving essentially the same error, running version 3.2.0.27...was there ever a patch released to address this issue or is it possible to get the same fix sent to the previous poster - I can get around the error if I delete all .pdb files and choose the profiling option for "All .NET methods", but this does not give me the source code detail I am looking for.

Thanks,

John

I seem to be experiencing the same issue. When I deleted the PDB files, the error disappeared.

Any chance I can get the update?

Thanks!

The fix is on our FTP site -- this is an updated Core2.dll that you can put in the ANTS Profiler installation folder. This update is only for version 3.x.
