SQL Data Compare 7.1 has been released

SQL Data Compare 7.1 has been released and is now available for download.

Version 7.1 is a minor release of SQL Data Compare. Along with a number of bugfixes it is now possible to trial the SQL Data Compare command line in continuous integration environments.

Support for SQL Server 2008:

SQL Data Compare 7.0 supports SQL Server 2008 based on the currently available release candidate. SQL Server 2008 introduces new data types (spatial data types, temporal data types, and hierarchy data type), sparse columns, and new collations, all of which are supported by SQL Data Compare 7.0.

SQL Data Compare 7.0 Professional will also support the new native and compressed backup formats in SQL Server 2008, in addition to the backup files of SQL Server 2000, SQL Server 2005, and Red Gate’s SQL Backup.
